Insurance

Lactatiekundige Praktijk Nop is an IBCLC lactation consultant in Noordoostpolder. The address is E.P. Seidelstraat 73, 8307 CC Ens. That falls under the municipality of Noordoostpolder, province of Flevoland.
What does an IBCLC lactation consultant actually do? An IBCLC lactation consultant specialises in breastfeeding and has passed the international IBCLC examination. That is different from a breastfeeding counsellor or a volunteer from a breastfeeding organisation — both can be valuable, but IBCLC is the only internationally examined qualification, with recertification every five years. A lactation consultant looks at the whole picture: your baby’s anatomy, your breasts, feeding position, and anything medical that may be playing a part.
Mothers usually come to this kind of care for things like pumping, and combining breast and bottle, engorgement, a blocked duct or mastitis and worry about not producing enough milk. A consultation usually takes 60 to 90 minutes and often happens at your home. The consultant watches a full feed — how your baby latches, how you sit, what is happening in your breast — and frequently weighs the baby before and after. You leave with a plan you can start the same day, plus a written summary for your midwife or GP.

What we do not know yet. This page is compiled from public sources. What this practice actually offers, what it costs, how long the waiting time is and which registrations the practitioners hold have not been confirmed by the practice itself. We do not fill those gaps with an assumption. Ask the practice, or check registrations yourself — the BIG register and the Kwaliteitsregister Paramedici are free and public. Are you the owner of this practice and is something not right? Claim this listing and you can fill in what is missing here.

Frequently asked questions
What is Lactatiekundige Praktijk Nop and what can I find here?
Lactatiekundige Praktijk Nop is listed in this guide as an IBCLC lactation consultant in Noordoostpolder, province of Flevoland. What this specific practice offers has not been confirmed by the practice itself — ask about it at first contact.
Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
The source does not say. In practice almost all care in this category works by appointment, so assume that and get in touch first by phone on +31 6 24540008 and through the website. Walking in without an appointment is rarely possible in this category.
Not stated in the source — this is what we can say about it in general.
What are the opening hours?
According to the source: Mon–Fri 09:00–17:00, Sat 09:00–12:00, Sun closed. Those are the hours the practice is open, not necessarily when an appointment is free — the diary may be full further ahead. Hours also change during Dutch school holidays. Call or check the website for the current situation.
What does it cost, and is it covered by insurance?
Not by the basic insurance — lactation support is not in the basisverzekering. Many supplementary policies (aanvullende verzekering) do cover one or more consultations, usually as an amount per consultation or a maximum per year. How much varies considerably between insurers and packages, and it changes every January. Look under "lactatiekundige" or "borstvoeding" in your policy conditions before you book. A practical point: most lactation consultants ask you to pay them directly and give you an invoice to submit to your insurer yourself, so budget for paying up front. What this particular practice charges for a consultation, and whether it has a contract with your specific health insurer, is not in our source. Ask for the fee before you book.

Meerdere keren langs geweest met verschillende klachten/vragen rondom borstvoeding. En alle keren perfect geholpen. Mirjam is zeker een aanrader. Ik ben zo lief en kundig geholpen. Bedankt Mirjam
