Waar let je op bij het kiezen van een bekkenfysiotherapeut in Utrecht?

  • Controleer of de bekkenfysiotherapie-specialisatie is aangetoond (KNGF/NVFB of AGB-code 0406)
  • Vraag of de praktijk ervaring heeft met klachten na een bevalling specifiek
  • Vraag of je je baby mee kunt nemen
  • Vraag naar de wachttijd voordat je een intake plant

Een eerste afspraak duurt meestal 30 tot 45 minuten. Je bespreekt je klachten en je zwangerschap en bevalling. Daarna volgt lichamelijk onderzoek. Een inwendig onderzoek van de bekkenbodem hoort daarbij, maar gebeurt alleen met jouw toestemming en nooit tijdens de eerste afspraak als jij dat niet wilt. Je mag je baby meenemen — vraag dit vooraf even na.

Wordt bekkenfysiotherapie na de bevalling vergoed?

Bij urine-incontinentie worden de eerste negen behandelingen bekkenfysiotherapie vergoed vanuit de basisverzekering. Je betaalt hiervoor wel je eigen risico. Behandelingen daarboven, en behandelingen voor andere klachten, lopen meestal via een aanvullende verzekering. Hoeveel je vergoed krijgt hangt af van jouw polis. Controleer dit altijd bij je eigen zorgverzekeraar voordat je begint.
